Jessie McCormack

Jessie McCormack is a native New Yorker and a graduate of Brown University. Coming from a background in theater, she wrote and acted in both the N.Y. and L.A. productions of her hit play, SPINE (The Best Women’s Monologues/Applause Books). She again wrote and performed in her critically acclaimed stage show, JOURNEY TO DOLLYWOOD, for which Dolly Parton recorded a voice-over. Jessie was a staff writer on ABC's single-camera half-hour comedy, JAKE IN PROGRESS. Her short film, THE ANTAGONIST, which she wrote, directed, and acted in, won Best Short at the Friars Club Comedy Film Festival, among other awards. She wrote, directed, and produced the dramedy feature, EXPECTING, starring Michelle Monaghan (TRUE DETECTIVE, SOURCE CODE) and Radha Mitchell (FINDING NEVERLAND, SILENT HILL). The film premiered at SXSW and went on to receive a limited theatrical domestic release as well as foreign distribution. Jessie also wrote, directed, acted in, and executive produced her culture-clash comedy/short-form digital series, PISS OFF, I LOVE YOU. Shot in London, the show was inspired by her time living in the UK. She’s now adapting it into a half-hour comedy pilot called AN AMERICAN BROAD LIVING ABROAD. Jessie currently resides in Los Angeles.
