Aleksandra Svonja
Aleksandra Svonja is a founder and CEO of production company Classica Nova which was established in 2016 in Belgrade, Serbia. She is also a writer, director, and producer of TV shows Our Farmland (two seasons), Profession (four seasons), VET Heroes, Space on Earth, Let's talk about it with Nevena Buca. She also directed and produced two documentary films titled: Sing to Celebrate Life (2022) and Diary of a Tennis Player by Aleksandra Krunic (2022).
She obtained a master’s degree from the prestigious Ivy League University College London (UCL) with outstanding grades. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science and Media Communications from Webster University. She is also a graduate of Film and TV Producing at New York Film Academy (NYFA).
Aleksandra has won more than 20 awards among which several have been received so far in 2022: regional award “Creators for Centuries” for contribution to development of entrepreneurship in East Central and South-East Europe, Best Art Music Video awarded by Tokyo International Monthly Film Festival, Best Music Video awarded by The Gladiator Film Festival. Aleksandra's most recent film "Diary of a Tennis Player: Aleksandra Krunic" was awarded at New York International Film Awards (NYIFA) and Toronto International Women Film Festival and it continues its festival circuit.
Aleksandra obtained an international certificate from London School of Public Relations (LSPR), public affairs diploma of British Institute for Public Relations (CIPR), certificate in Psychology of Popularity from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a diplomatic protocol certificate from the Center for Human Resources Development and Management (MNG). She is a member of The Association of Documentary Filmmakers of Serbia, DOKSERBIA.
She speaks Serbian, English, Spanish and Russian.
