Crystal Whaley is a director, and an EMMY award winning creative producer in film/TV/branded with over 20 years of experience specializing in content production & development, strategic initiatives and creative direction. Crystal is responsible for the overall financial sustainability and creative integrity of multiple shows/projects including the oversight of all logistics necessary in accordance with creative mandates, broadcast and digital standards ensuring award winning project recognition. She’s developed, produced, and supervised award winning scripted and non-scripted TV & doc series, feature documentaries, commercials, music videos, branded content and nationally syndicated TV series for Sesame Workshop, a 2023 EMMY nominated doc-series for MSNBC, 2022 EMMY award winning and 2023 Peabody nominated Frontlines/PBS digital series, and an upcoming Netflix doc-series premiering August 2023. Crystal made her directorial debut in with her feature length documentary film, The Sound She Saw currently screening in multiple film festivals & in museums. Owner and creative director Plan C Media Group, she’s former VP of Development and Production for Pixel Media LLC/Lionsgate, former Sr. Producer for Sesame Workshop, former Director of Video Production for Arista Records and former executive producer for Free Spirit Films Inc. all where she produced a myriad of innovative commercials and music videos for award-winning artists.
