Lee Ann Kurr

Lee Ann Kurr (she/her) is a writer, director and producer. She comes from a classical acting background, having studied and performed with the London Dramatic Academy, the American Shakespeare Center, the Harrisburg Shakespeare Festival, and the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Her feature script PERSEPHONE, a re-imagining of the Greek myth, was a 2019 Academy Nicholl Fellowship Semifinalist. She previously directed the music video for Lindsey Luff's single "Remind Me", as well as the short film HAMMURABI, which she also wrote, produced and edited. STUDENT BODY, which she wrote, directed, and co-produced, is her debut feature film. The film stars Christian Camargo (See, The Hurt Locker, Dexter), Montse Hernandez (Jane the Virgin), Cheyenne Haynes (Camping), Harley Quinn Smith (Cruel Summer, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), Anthony Keyvan (Love, Victor), and Austin Zajur (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark). STUDENT BODY is represented by MPX Films and distributed by 1091 Pictures. STUDENT BODY is on streaming and broadcast at Showtime. The film is also available for rent or purchase on digital and on-demand platforms. Lee Ann lives in Burbank, CA, with her husband and her surviving plants.
