Heather Cappiello

Heather recently directed multiple episodes of FEAR The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond as well as the Hulu Original horror series Freakish, the CBS drama Blue Bloods (2016 Voice Award winner), Madam Secretary, Criminal Minds and the pilot presentation for the one-hour drama Corporate. Heather wrote and directed the award-winning short film Ruby's Tuesday that screened at more than twenty-five festivals including the inaugural Short Film Corner at Cannes and was selected by Sony to premiere with Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette. Heather was chosen to participate in the CBS Directing Initiative and was a protegé in the first DGA Craft and Mentorship Program. A life-long admirer of dance as an art form, Heather recently directed two site-specific dance performances and the short dance films, BREAK GLASS and REFRAME. Heather is also an accomplished theater director who has helmed theatrical premieres in London, San Francisco and Berkeley, including tenures with the acclaimed Shotgun Players and the Bay Area's Jawbone Theatre Ensemble which she co-founded. Heather was the script supervisor on more than fifteen original single-camera dramas and comedies, including TNT's critically acclaimed drama Saving Grace starring Academy Award winner Holly Hunter. Heather's debut directing episode of Saving Grace was chosen as the submission piece for both Ms. Hunter's SAG and Golden Globe award nominations.
