Idalina Leandro
Idalina Leandro is an award winning filmmaker, writer and actor with over 14 years of experience in film and television. She has produced, directed and written several films, documentaries, music videos and TV programs in North America and Europe. She took ownership of her own career in 2008 when she founded Nightshade Productions, an independent film production company in London, England. There, she produced her first short film, Invaded, which travelled the festival circuit in England and Portugal. After leaving England in 2010, Idalina founded A Film Company, where she produced her first documentary, All She Wrote Anthology. The film follows female graffiti artists from around the world, and is currently distributed by the CFMDC, and was nominated for best documentary at the LA Femme Film Festival in Los Angeles. The film is now available to stream on Opprimetv.com. The anthology also aired on FIBE TV 1, a platform dedicated to promoting the work of Toronto-based artists. Idalina has produced and directed a variety of TV projects supported by the Canadian Media Fund. She also has produced digital components for projects including websites, Apps and VR Apps. Most recently her documentary, An Open Conversation, was part the official selection at the Internationals Women’s Film Festival in Philadelphia, USA and the Women’s film festival in Denmark. Currently she just finished producing a short film called Everything is F*cked coming out in 2024.
