Ines Johnson-Spain is an independent German/Togolese author and filmmaker, based in Berlin. She studied Sciences of Religions (at Free University Berlin) and was a guest in Visual Culture Studies, Painting and History of film at (at University of Arts Berlin). She worked for many years as a Scenic painter and in various positions at Art departments of national and international film productions (a.o. Peter Greenaway, Andrej Swjaginzew, Lana Wachowsky) and theater, before she began in 2003 to write and realize her own films.
