Ioana Uricaru

Born and raised in Romania, Ioana studied biology before turning to filmmaking. She holds an MFA in film and television production and a PhD in critical studies, both from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. She is an alumna of Berlinale Talents Script Station, the Cannes Cinéfondation Residence, the Sundance Labs and the Torino Film Lab. She was a Fellow of the American Academy in Berlin in 2015.
