Jessica Sanders is an Academy Award-nominated, Sundance and Cannes Award-winning director and producer of narrative and documentary films as well as TV commercials and branded content. Her career history reads like a laundry list of awards, celebrity collaborators and the world’s most prestigious festival premieres. To name just a few: Jessica’s commercial career kicked off when Steve Jobs hand-picked her to direct Apple's iPad launch campaign. Her short film “SING" was nominated for an Academy Award and her feature documentary film "AFTER INNOCENCE" became a game changer in criminal justice reform and won many awards including the Sundance Special Jury Prize. Unstoppably creative, Jessica has made tons of independent comedy and experimental shorts, attracting star studded casts and creative partners, including "BUNION" with Alia Shawkat (ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT), Michaela Watkins (SNL) and Avi Rothman; "GEORGE & BRAD IN BED," about Star Trek’s George Takei and his husband Brad; "SONY MAKE. BELIEVE," received the Cannes Young Director Award; and her pilot "EMBRACE" premiered at Sundance and won the SXSW Film Festival Grand Jury Prize. It was Executive Produced by Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali. Her latest award winning short is a martial arts action comedy called "THE COCKTAIL PARTY” and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Her VFX heavy short film "END OF THE LINE," starred Simon Helberg (BIG BANG THEORY) and Brett Gelman (STRANGER THINGS), premiered at Sundance.
