After graduating from Dartmouth College with a degree in Theater and Film Studies, Johanna spent a decade in Los Angeles acting in various shorts and features. She returned to the east coast, determined to create her own work of independent vision and artistic storytelling. Shudderbugs (now circulating in festivals) is her first full creation as producer, writer and first-time director, and has been honored with Indie Spirit, Rising Star, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, Festival Director's Choice & Special Jury Awards thus far. Johanna is currently writing and developing her next narrative feature film, GUS, with her team at Odd Ends Productions.
