Kathryn Dietz
I have spent my career in the world of independent filmmaking, as a documentary producer, director and writer, an executive producer, a conference and festival director, an educator, board member, and former executive director of Filmmakers Collaborative. I have mentored many filmmakers, was creative director of two national media conferences, and co-founded the Boston International Kids Film Festival. For the 2014 festival we received three great short films about autism, which I curated into a workshop that inspired my next project: “Stories from the Spectrum.” This is a series of short films about teens and adults on the autism spectrum. My goal is to show the tremendous variety and beauty in this world, to deepen public understanding about autism, and to give voice to those who often have none. For the last three years, I was Visiting Artist at Tufts University, and for the last five I have been a leadership development coach at Babson College. I always love meeting smart, talented, and kind people, and am always open to new collaborative opportunities!
