Kristina Arjona

Proudly queer and Latina, Kristina Arjona is passionate about representing authentic BIPOC & queer stories while creating films that can bring in a wide range of audiences.


Kristina has over 12 years of experience in the film industry as a director, actor, AD, and now intimacy coordinator and mental health coordinator. As a certified intimacy coordinator and mental health coordinator, Kristina has worked with studios like Netflix, Showtime, Starz, Amazon, and ABC. She is also the Director of Research and Resource Development at the Association of Mental Health Coordinators.

Kristina's film, Mi Casa, won the HBO Latinx Short Film Competition 2021, was bought by HBO & can be viewed on MAX. Her feature debut, Christmas with Jerks, was distributed by Good Deed Entertainment in 2023 and can be seen on Amazon. She is currently in preproduction for her second feature, a dark comedy vampire film, Randy Mandy and the Curse of the Plaza Theatre.


She has a BFA in Acting and BA in Theatrical Design & Production from Elon University. Kristina created her production company, Jump Cut Collective, to direct and produce work emphasizing women, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC in front of and behind the camera.
