DIRECTORS

Sara attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied directing and acting at Playwrights Horizons Theatre School. Upon graduating with a BFA in drama, she worked in TV in Original Programming & Development. After leaving network TV, Sara took her knowledge of development and has been creating her own content. Sara has also served roles from Director’s Assistant to Producer on everything from feature films to web content. Sara's debut feature film HEIGHTENED which she wrote, directed, and starred in premiered at Dances with Films in 2023. HEIGHTENED garnered awards such as Best First Feature from The Naples International Film Festival and the Audience Award for Best Indie Narrative from The Coronado Island Film Festival, and has secured distribution. Sara is passionate about creating art that examines societally relevant topics such as mental illness, feminism, and current political landscapes. She lives and works in Los Angeles, New York, and New England.
