Sasha Levinson
Sasha Levinson is a director of films, commercials and music videos. She spent the formative years of her career making music videos with luminaries such as 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige and Run DMC. This electric sensibility still informs her aesthetic today.
She currently works with internationally renowned brands, philanthropic organizations, and celebrities, including the Dalai Lama, Serena Williams and the City of Las Vegas, for whom she made a short film about a lesbian wedding, that went viral, garnering the highest positive comment rating of all time, on YouTube.
Sasha’s first feature documentary, SYLVIE of THE SUNSHINE STATE, premiered at Slamdance 2022, where she won the Spirit of Slamdance Award. She is Producer of the film MAKAYLA’S VOICE, which premiered at Slamdance 2024 and won the Cleveland International Film Festival Jury Shorts Award, qualifying for the Oscars, ahead of it’s New York premiere at Tribeca Film Festival. In 2020 she founded Le Film Shop, where she is in development on several projects including a narrative adaptation of her documentary, Sylvie of the Sunshine State, slated to shoot in early 2026.
