Suzan Satterfield
Suzan's greatest strength is to find and transform a diverse group into a cohesive team that spins an idea into a riveting story. The first television she created, produced, and directed was a branded eco-adventure series, The Natural South. That program became Turner South's first fully sponsored entertainment series. Over three years and sixty-six documentary-style episodes, The Natural South garnered fifteen Telly awards and four Emmy nominations. As Executive Producer of HGTV's Ground Breakers, Suzan recast and revitalized a major landscaping makeover show in need of its own renovation. For five seasons of MEGA DENS, Suzan was the Executive Producer/Showrunner and sometimes director of amazing five-day family room makeovers. Her team simultaneously produced EcoSense for Living, an Emmy-winning doc-style series that promotes an earth-friendly, healthy life on PBS. Current projects include producing and directing "The Van Life," a smart comedy based in Oakland, California about an obsessive academic writing her dissertation on the culture of van life. Suzan is also co-writer/producer of "That Renovation Show," a mockumentary- television comedy that goes behind the scenes of a dysfunctional makeover reality series.
