Writer/Director of Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life starring Mira Sovino, Joe Pantoliano and Michael Urie, the award-winning documentary on Netflix Llyn Foulkes One Man Band (“A joy to watch” The Hollywood Reporter, “Undeniably fascinating” Variety), award-winning Shelf Life, (“whip smart… taps into a fresh source for American comedy” Variety) starring Betsy Brandt of Breaking Bad. Halpern recently directed VR at the 2018 Women’s March in Los Angeles and was hired to adapt and direct a novel by SE Hinton (The Outsiders, Rumble Fish), due to release in 2019. Her script about legendary journalist Nellie Bly is in development with Darren Aronofsky’s Protazoa Pictures and slated for 2018 production. Her script Ezzy Fish made the Black List, was a Nicholl’s semi finalist, an IFP/NY Top Ten finalist, and accepted in the Film Independent Producers and Director Labs. She's directed dozens of commercials for Armani, YSL, DeBeers and Amazon.
