Alexandra Henry

Alexandra Henry is an award-winning director & producer based between New Mexico and New York. In 2021 her feature-length film Street Heroines, which explores the courage and creativity of female graffiti and street artists, won Best Documentary at the Portland Film Festival. Selected for SHOOT Magazine's New Directors Showcase 2019 and named a finalist for the STARZ & The Wrap Women’s ‘Telling Our Stories’ film contest, she showcases her passion for art, music, and languages through photography and moving image. Her personal work always endeavors to shine light on underrepresented voices. In addition to documentary filmmaking, she’s an experienced TV commercial producer working for global clients including Pepsi, Lay’s, Mountain Dew and Ocean Spray. Notably, she was a producer on the Gatorade docu-series Cantera 5v5, (Tribeca TV Festival / ESPN+ / NBC) directed by Jeff and Mike Zimbalist, which spanned six countries following teenage soccer players compete in the global championship. She received her B.A. in Diplomacy & World Affairs from Occidental College and speaks Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, French, and Italian.
