Andrea Walter

Andrea A. Walter is a British Filipino nonbinary filmmaker, born and raised in the Philippines. They currently work as a writer, director and cinematographer and are based in Los Angeles, California. Their work has been screened at a number of film festivals such as SXSW, HIFF, LAAPFF, Inside Out as well as well known screening series such as Flux at the Hammer Museum and Queer Rhapsody at the American Cinematheque. Currently one of their short films is archived at the UCLA Film & TV archive, the largest LGBTQIA+ archive for film in the world. On top of narrative and documentary work, Andrea has years of live production under their belt, having worked as a camera operator and producer for concerts, nightclubs and music festivals such as Life is Beautiful, Outside Lands, TED Talks and Twitch. They were named Nevada Woman Filmmaker of the Year in 2020 and have been selected as a 2024 Women in Film Cinematography fellow under Alison Kelly. Currently they are under the mentorship of Lilly Wachowski.
