Christine Beebe
Nominated for the Producers Guild of America’s 2019 Outstanding Producer Award in Documentary Film for her feature film, Hal, Christine Beebe’s work focuses on the most captivating subjects of our past and present through documentary film. In her new role as Director of Non-Fiction Development at Lucasfilm she has various documentary film projects in the works. Concurrently, in June of this year, her highly anticipated film, Pigeon Kings, directed by Milena Pastreich, premiered in competition at the Seattle International Film Festival and her directorial debut, Felix Austria!, which premiered at HotDocs was released by IndiePix. Her aforementioned Hal, directed by Amy Scott, premiered in competition at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, opened theatrically through Oscilloscope Laboratories, continues to do the festival circuit, and is currently available on VOD; the 2017 Tony Conrad: Completely in the Present, directed by Tyler Hubby, screened at the Viennale, IFFR, Tate Modern and the Broad after a week-long theatrical release at Anthology Film Archive and continues to play in museums and festivals world-wide; the 2016 OutFest Audience Award and GLAAD Special Recognition Award recipient, Emmy-nominated series We’ve Been Around, directed by Rhys Ernst is currently streaming online. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film Directing from the California Institute of the Arts and is from Maine.
