Georgina Cammalleri

Georgina Cammalleri is a BAFTA-winning and Emmy-nominated British-Argentinean filmmaker based in London. Her directorial debut was an episode of BAD SPORT (HORSE HITMAN, Netflix), an anthology docuseries on sporting scandals. During her work developing this series, she found and developed the idea for RIGHT TO FIGHT (Sky), a feature documentary about the remarkable pioneers of women’s boxing in the US, which she went on to direct. The documentary has premiered at Sheffield DocFest this year before it appeared on Sky, earning a five-star review from The Guardian. It had its International Premiere in Doc NYC in November '23. The doc was also highly commended at the Sports Broadcast Awards for Best Single Documentary and nominated for Best Sports Documentary at the Broadcast Awards '24. Before directing, Georgina produced documentaries, including, the BAFTA-winning GUN NO.6 (BBC), the story of Britain’s deadliest gun; TAKEN: HUNTING THE SEX TRAFFICKERS (Channel 4), a docu-trilogy about a secret police investigation into a human trafficking gang, and developed the BAFTA-nominated mental health series LOSING IT (Channel 4), among others. In her spare time, she directs music videos for indie bands on labels such as Warner and Island Records, one of which earned her a UK Music Video Award.
