Lea Todorov

After studying at Sciences Po Paris and at the Freie Universität Berlin, Léa Todorov began writing and directing documentaries — Saving Humanity During Office Hours (2012), then Russian Utopia (2014) co-directed with Joanna Dunis. She has collaborated on the writing and direction of numerous films, such as Revolution School (2017) by Joanna Grudzinska.

In 2015, she co-founded Elinka, where she produced JA and Voin by Gaëlle Boucand. In 2021, she created for the festival “Un week-end à l’Est” a performance about her father, My Unknown Country: Tzvetan Todorov, Bulgaria and Me.

Léa has just completed her first fiction feature, La Nouvelle Femme, produced by Grégoire Debailly (Geko Films) and Carlo Cresto-Dina (Tempesta), starring Leïla Bekhti and Jasmine Trinca.
