Sara McIntyre

Sara McIntyre is a graduate of Women in the Director’s Chair, the Praxis Story Editor Internship, and an instructor of film direction, photography and video production in Vancouver, BC. Through Kiss Dust Pictures, Sara directed and produced the internationally award-winning feature film, “Two Indians Talking” which won the People’s Choice award, Most Popular Canadian Film at the Vancouver International Film Festival 2010 among other North American awards and nominations. In 2016 she won The Whistler Film Festival Power Pitch Competition with her feature film screenplay, The Last Six. Sara holds a Master of Arts, Liberal Studies degree with thesis work focused on representations of disability and sexuality in screen-based media. Projects in development include the feature film “The Last Six” with support from the Harold Greenberg Fund; and web-series “Disease & Desire”, both adaptations of literature by Canadian author, Kim Clark.
