Sini Anderson

Sini Anderson is an award-winning documentary film director, producer, and feminist art and class activist who lives in New York City. Her films, The Punk Singer, a documentary about Kathleen Hanna, IFC Films and Catherine Opie b. 1961, LACMA Productions, in 2013/2014 Sini won the Lena Sharpe Persistence of Vision Award @ SIFF, ARCA Best Director Award @ Distrital Film Festival- Mexico City. And in 2018 Anderson received HBO’s Best Documentary Short @ Provincetown International Film Festival, Excellence in American Profiles Award @ San Francisco Documentary Film Festival, and the festival-wide VIMEO Staff Award @OutFest Los Angeles. Before films Sini was the co-founder, co-artistic director and host of SF’s all-girl & queer performance tour SISTER SPIT with writer Michelle Tea.
