Susan Skoog
Susan Skoog is a screenwriter, director & producer who has worked in the entertainment industry for over 25 years. In 1998 she wrote, produced and directed the feature film "Whatever", which was released theatrically by Sony Pictures Classics. “Whatever” stars Liza Weil of TV’s “Gilmore Girls” and Frederic Forrest (“Apocalypse Now”, “The Rose” and “The Conversation”) and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Garnering great critical acclaim, “Whatever” went on to screen at festivals throughout the world including the Newport International Film Festival, Nantucket Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, San Francisco International Film Festival, Tokyo International Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival, Norske Filmfestivalen, Haugesund, Norway, The Hamptons International Film Festival, London Film Festival, and the New York Women’s Film Festival.
In addition her film work, Susan has enjoyed a successful career as a writer, director and producer of numerous documentary and magazine programs for such networks as VH1, Turner Network Television, Turner Classic Movies, AMC, FX, MTV, CBS, Fuse, Rave HD, TBS, Tru TV/Court TV and PBS.
Susan was the series producer for VH-1’s weekly film program “FLIX” as well as producer and director for many of that network’s ACE Award winning series, “VH1to One.” Her documentaries for this series included recording artists Carole King, kd lang, Dolly Parton, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and Johnny Clegg.
