Suzannah Herbert
Memphis-born and New York-based Suzannah Herbert directed and produced the twice Emmy-nominated film, WRESTLE. Named one of the top 5 documentaries of 2019 by the National Board of Review, lauded as “Superb” by the LOS ANGELES TIMES, and hailed a NEW YORK TIMES Critic’s Pick, WRESTLE was released by Oscilloscope Laboratories and PBS’s Independent Lens. Herbert frequently collaborates as an editor on various Bob Dylan film projects. She edited PBS’s GREAT PERFORMANCES: TONY BENNETT & DIANA KRALL and three episodes in THE ROOT’s series 1300 MEN: MEMPHIS SANITATION STRIKE. She is currently editing a vérité documentary, WOMAN ON THE OUTSIDE, directed by Zara Katz and Lisa Riordan Seville. Before directing her first feature, Herbert was the associate producer on Shola Lynch’s FREE ANGELA & ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS, an assistant editor on Netflix's ROLLING THUNDER REVUE: A BOB DYLAN STORY BY MARTIN SCORSESE.
