Currently, 1 in 5 people in Los Angeles experience hunger. Film Fatales and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank joined in the fight against hunger in our local communities. We helped assemble food packages for children, families, and seniors across Los Angeles County. The food packages consist of shelf-stable food items such as grains, canned fruits and vegetables, and protein. Together, we sorted and packed produce for over 29,000 people who face food insecurity in Los Angeles, and we got to know each other better in the process.
Since 1973, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has distributed more than 1.9 billion pounds of food. The Food Bank collects food from hundreds of resources. With the help of hundreds of thousands of volunteers annually and an agency network of more than 600 partner agencies, we serve more than 900,000 people on a monthly basis.
