In-Person Peer to Peer Connection

Wed. April 9th 6pm-9pm ET

Film Fatales members are invited to an in-person gathering in Brooklyn! We will engage in a dynamic conversation about the film industry and our current projects, with the goal of fostering community among our New York City members.

Eager to meet creative collaborators? Excited to connect with like-minded artists? Let us take comfort in our diverse network of talent as we get together to bolster one another over drinks, snacks and community building discussion. With a guided conversation hosted by Noor Gharzeddine and Amanda Lundquist.

Your hosts will provide alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and charcuterie boards. Guests are welcome to bring additional refreshments and snacks, such as dips, finger foods, or desserts.

This in-person filmmaker mixer is for current Film Fatales members only. Capacity is limited and RSVP does not guarantee entry. All confirmed guests will receive a confirmation email in advance with the specific location and directions. Film Fatales members can log in to RSVP.

Accessibility Notes: The venue is ADA accessible and has all-gender restrooms. We hope to see you there!

Co-Hosts

Noor Gharzeddine is a Lebanese American filmmaker living between New York, Los Angeles and Beirut. Her award-winning debut feature, ARE YOU GLAD I’M HERE, traveled to over 30 film festivals worldwide. After a successful theatrical release the film is now available on Amazon Prime and other streaming platforms.

Noor is currently writing a magical realism coming of age screenplay and is in development on two features – one fiction and one documentary. She gravitates towards female driven stories that merge diverse genres and cultural perspectives. Noor’s commercial work is represented by Coed Studios, where she’s been partnering with small businesses to tell brand stories that weave in each entrepreneur’s world-view, aesthetic, and personality.

Amanda Lundquist is a feature film director whose films have screened at over 15 film festivals worldwide. Her second feature, ASKING FOR IT, stars Stephanie Hsu (MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL) and Janeane Garofalo (WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER). The film premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival and was acquired by the Fuse Television Network. Her first feature, PINSKY won “Best Narrative Feature” at the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival and was distributed by Breaking Glass Pictures in 2019. Both features are currently streaming on Amazon Prime. In 2021, she was a finalist in Starz’s Take the Lead Initiative and additionally served as a juror on the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival’s Narrative Feature Jury. Amanda lives in Brooklyn with her partner, Olga Vazquez, who DP’d both ASKING FOR IT and PINSKY. Amanda is a member of Film Fatales and the Alliance of Women Directors. She is committed to gender and racial parity in the film industry and believes that self-representation and inclusive collaboration is the future of the independent film community.
