Somatic Practice

Wellness Community Circle

Wed. February 19th 2pm PT / 5pm ET

Film Fatales members are invited to an online wellness workshop with somatic practitioner Shaleece Haas. Moderated by Film Fatales member Magdalena Albizu.

In this workshop, Shaleece will guide participants through several somatic practices designed to access more openness, presence, and connection in our bodies — and to feel more deeply our interdependence with one another and the living things all around us.

This online workshop will be accessible with self descriptions and auto captions. The session will be recorded and a video replay link will be shared the day after the live event

Shaleece Haas is a certified somatic coach supporting individuals and groups to align their actions with their values. Shaleece practices a form of politicized or social justice-oriented somatics, which holds that personal healing cannot be disconnected from the work of collective change. Through this integrated practice, we not only support our own recovery but also create preventative healing for future generations. Shaleece received her certification from the Strozzi Institute for Somatics and her ACC credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She has studied under teachers in the lineage of generative somatics, the Strozzi Institute, and the Embodiment Institute. Shaleece also works as a practitioner and as a film supervisor with Film in Mind, and has 15 years’ experience as a documentary director and producer.
