Fatales Forward Trans Stories
We are excited to announce the inaugural class of Fatales Forward: Trans Stories fellows!
Fatales Forward: Trans Stories is a trailblazing fellowship from Film Fatales designed to support trans and gender diverse directors working on their debut feature film through one-on-one mentorship, a career advancement intensive, and the creation of a supportive peer group.
Five transgender filmmakers have been selected through an extensive nomination process: Grace Evangelista (Fran This Summer), Ley Comas (Ni Aquí, Ni Allá), Nyala Moon (How Not To Date While Trans), Sepi Mashiahof (Mother is God), and seyi adebanjo (I AM! We are Here!)
The program includes a weekend intensive with over a dozen trans directors and industry leaders such as Joey Soloway (Transparent), Sam Feder (Disclosure), Marquise Vilsón (Tom Swift), Marion Hill (Ma Belle, My Beauty), Chase Joynt (Framing Agnes), and more.
Mentors include Film Fatales members Isabel Sandoval (Lingua Franca), Olivia Peace (Tahara), Jane Schoenbrun (I Saw The TV Glow), Chet Pancake (Queer Genius), and StormMiguel Florez (The Whistle). Fellows also receive a participation stipend and in-kind support.
