Oscars Shortlist

Congratulations to all of the Film Fatales members whose films have been shortlisted for Oscars!

Awards and nominations can have lasting career impacts, raising the visibility of films for a mainstream audience, introducing new cultural perspectives, and ultimately shaping the world in which we live. In the past 95 years, only three women have won an Oscar for Best Director, and only seven have been nominated. Across all categories, 84% of nominees have been men, and only 2% have been women of color.
