Bio

Mun Chee is a Singapore-born director and cinematographer, known for Where the Road Meets the Sun (2011), 9:30 (2004) and 4 Sundays in September (2024). 9:30 was screened at Deauville, Edinburgh, won Special Jury Award at SXSW and also won a DGA Award. Mun Chee's works often centered on human emotions and their irrationality. Her latest short film follows a migrant domestic worker in Singapore. It earned a prestigious nomination for Best Live Action Short Film at the 61st Golden Horse Awards in 2024. Mun Chee holds an MFA in film production from USC's School of Cinematic Arts. She currently splits her time between Los Angeles and Singapore.
