Bio

Regan Latimer brings a dynamic blend of directing, writing, and editing skills to her independent filmmaking. She is the creator of Bulletproof: A Lesbian’s Guide to Surviving the Plot, an award-winning feature documentary exploring queer representation on television. The film has screened internationally and earned accolades including Best Documentary at FilmOut San Diego, ReelOut Kingston, and the Perth International Queer Film Festival, as well as the Grand Jury Prize at image+nation Montréal. Bulletproof also earned Regan the prestigious Lindalee Tracey Award at Hot Docs 2025 for her bold and socially engaged storytelling.


With notable past projects like the digital series B.J. Fletcher: Private Eye—which earned over 16 million views and secured distribution on Logo Network/MTV—Regan has long shown a distinct knack for crafting compelling and entertaining narratives that resonate widely. Her directorial work also includes short films Lindy Calls Tracy and Harmony Love Matches for Life Inc., with Lindy premiering at Toronto’s Inside Out Film Festival and screening at festivals around the world.


Regan is also the founder and Creative Director of Bee Charmer Productions, where she collaborates with a diverse range of clients to create impactful visual content. Her freelance work spans editing Emmy award-winning promo spots for Colorado’s Rocky Mountain PBS, promotional content for brands such as Hershey, Toyota, and Luminato, and contributing to the feature documentary The Divided Brain.


Her commitment to innovative storytelling extends beyond the screen. Regan co-founded the organization Web Series Canada, served as Producer and Programming Director for the inaugural Toronto Web Series Festival, and has shared her insights as a speaker and panelist at industry events and festivals worldwide.
