The prize promises security, stability, a future! All she has to do to claim it, is click a button. What starts as a simple task balloons into a maze of automated messages, annoyed customer service representatives, and increasingly arbitrary tests of her identity. Both unsettling and funny, CONGRATULATIONS, YOU’VE WON!!! is a satire featuring The Old Internet and the absurd labor it takes now to be recognized as real.
Olivia Peace is a Blackqueer director and interdisciplinary artist from Detroit, Michigan. They are the director of the feature film, TAHARA, which premiered to rave reviews at the 2020 Slamdance Film festival and went on to win a Jury Prize at Outfest. They believe that style helps to facilitate agency in people, and so they set out to create work that’s replete with style.
