Synopsis

DISHWASHER delicately offers a glimpse into the daily trials and tribulations of four immigrant workers under the scope of a bustling restaurant, where social, economic, and familial conflicts intersect with work dynamics. At its heart is Daniel, the unassuming dishwasher, who emerges as a beacon of hope amidst the turmoil. Inspired by the real-life persona of Daniel, our studio's beloved cleaner, this film is a testament to his infectious joy and resilience. Collaborating with three proud first-generation immigrant actors from India, Brazil, and Mexico/Italy, alongside Mark Vaughn, an African-American actor portraying Daniel-- the narrative subtly unveils Daniel's wisdom, talents, and indomitable spirit. Through this evocative story, we aim to illuminate the often overlooked humanity and depth within those who labor behind the scenes, and the significance of their impact.
