Synopsis

In the science-fiction comedy FLEX TIME, Noel, a young Asian-American would-be comic artist working as a temp, is up before dawn on a Tuesday at the behest of his scheming co-worker Arnaud. Tasked with emptying old binders, Noel is joined by a co-worker, Jeanette, openly tempting him with an office-hours fling, and back in the city after work, he senses tension in visiting his girlfriend Monique in the presence of Field, her crunchy comic shop boss. As the week progresses, things get stranger, and the working hours worse, Noel mostly surrenders himself to Arnaud’s conviction. But when his Friday ends and he awakes the next morning, Arnaud reveals to him they have reversed in time, and instead of being Saturday, it's Thursday again. Noel is forced to work his way backwards through the week, and finally finds a little bit of agency in a foregone conclusion.
