Synopsis

In dramedy FLOR AND AMAN AGAINST THE MOTHERFUCKING WORLD, 15-year-old dreamer Flor lived an idyllic life in Venice Beach until her mom died and her dad abruptly moved them to Truth or Consequences, NM. Displaced and adrift, she finds refuge in her new friendship with likeminded outsider Aman. They spend their days upcycling old clothing into punk-chic outfits and watching the strange adults inhabiting T or C. When they find out that their favorite punk band Bitter Milkshake is coming, they hatch an elaborate plan to raise funds for the concert.

When Aman’s stepfather Edward reenters the picture, Aman becomes increasingly unreliable. She says she hates him but Flor spots them laughing together. The girls procure scalped tickets to the concert, but at the venue discover they are fakes. Aman’s mom calls to say she urgently needs to go home. Later, Flor checks on Aman, and is shocked to see Edward perpetrating an unthinkable act. Flor is suddenly thrust into a harrowing journey of discovery that forces her to make a decision that may shatter the one friendship that provides the acceptance she craves.
