Synopsis

With the leader of the free world taking away reproductive rights, and developing regions like the Middle East continuing to restrict women’s bodies, what one chooses for her own fertility has never been more important. INNER LIFE follows Shadia (42), a Lebanese immigrant eager to settle into London with her traditional mother Maryam, struggling to conceive with her overworked fiancé. So, she expands her chances at fertility by moonlighting as Nina, a modern version of herself, and trying to make a baby with a British stranger. Over the course of 48 hours, mother & daughter clash with their new culture (and each other) and will make drastic decisions, destined to define where they truly belong.
