A couple seeks refuge in a remote mountain town to escape a mysterious disease that makes some people disappear and others turn into hateful murderers. Strange figures begin to emerge from the surrounding forest and it’s unclear if they are helping or harming. As the stakes grow higher and the dangers draw closer, the couple must decide who to trust and what they are willing to do to survive.
Dalila Droege is a writer and director working in narrative film. Her short films include TEHACHAPI, a story of an adult brother and sister reconciling after their father’s death, and available on nobudge.com. Dalila completed a directing fellowship at Film Independent’s Project: Involve, where she wrote and directed HALF THE DISTANCE, which screened at the Los Angeles Film Festival. She completed her feature film writing and directing debut, NO MORE TIME, while participating in the 2021 Women in Film Mentorship Program. It has screened at festivals including Salem Horror Fest, Dundead in Scotland, and New Filmmakers Los Angeles.
Dalila began her career as a classical pianist before receiving an MFA in Writing and Directing at Columbia College Chicago. In addition to directing, Dalila co-produced Amy Seimetz’s award winning feature SUN DON'T SHINE, and produced the short film DOGWALKER, which premiered at Sundance. She also assisted her mentor Nicole Holofcener on the features ENOUGH SAID and THE LAND OF STEADY HABITS. Dalila is an Assistant Professor of Film Production and Area Head of Directing and Producing at California State University, Los Angeles.
