A group of friends receives a cryptic note: “I am sorry you know.” As they search for answers, they’re drawn back to a seemingly innocent Halloween prank from their childhood: burying a scarecrow. But what they uncover is far from harmless, revealing a disturbing truth that refuses to stay buried.

Synopsis

Years after a childhood Halloween prank, a tight-knit group of friends receives a chilling message that reads “I am sorry you know.” The note forces them to revisit the night they buried a scarecrow, a memory that begins to unravel as they realize their innocent stunt may have concealed something far darker. At the same time, two detectives pursue a missing person case that steadily draws closer to the friends’ past. As the investigations converge, the group is pushed to confront the truth about what they buried and the haunting consequences that followed them into adulthood.

Bio

Alyssa Rallo Bennett is a storyteller at heart, combining her passion for directing, producing, acting, writing and known as a singer/songwriter as RALLO - was born and raised in NYC, and trained at Tisch-Drama, she began her career working with iconic directors like Zeffirelli, Scorsese, Robert Benton & Robert Lewis. Developing and co-produced Rain Without Thunder (Berlin Film Festival, starring Jeff Daniels, Ming-Na Wen & Steve Zahn), a human rights drama she went on to direct her first feature, The Pack, which was accepted into the Tribeca Film Festival (Lucie Arnaz, Elisabeth Moss), then Aberrant (Jack Quaid, Tibor Feldman), ReRUN (Christopher Lloyd), and recent feature, The Arrival (Gravitas Ventures, starring Pooya Mohseni). 

Notable festival (Newport Beach, Soho FF, Beverly Hills FF) shorts include Compulsion, Crowbar, The Finance of Art, and The Dishwasher. Most recently, she directed a new pilot, SCARECROW, starring Marin Hinkle & Kate Arrington. Alyssa co-founded Stonestreet Studios and created the Tisch Drama-affiliated Screen Acting & Production Residency, mentoring talents like Rachel Sennott, Miles Teller, Rachel Brosnahan, Nik Walker & many others.
