After finding out their best friends have secretly ended their five year long relationship, two friends turned lovers attempt to hide their new found romance during their college reunion trip to the mountains.
Penny and Jacob met in college and became instant friends. Their worlds intertwine over the years and both of their roommates (Harper and Eddie) find themselves in a romantic relationship. Five years later, the four and another friend (Adam) plan a reunion weekend in the mountains. On the drive there, Penny and Jacob finally admit the feelings they’ve been harboring for each other over the years only to find that they have to keep their newfound relationship to themselves to spare the feelings of Harper and Eddie, who’s own relationship is falling apart. The weekend is full of reunions and awkward encounters as both couples attempt to keep their true feelings under wraps.
Lindsey Paulette is a filmmaker, writer, MUA, and visual artist born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She got her start in the arts at age seven as a stage actor and has been in love with creating and entertaining ever since. She studied filmmaking at John Tyler Community College, Savannah College of Art and Design, and eventually got her BA in film from Virginia Commonwealth University in August 2022. She spends her days shooting commercials, prepping for her own personal film projects, writing screenplays, painting, and running her independent production company, Incredibly Okay Films LLC.
In September 2022, she wrapped production on her first feature length film, The Trip, that she wrote, directed, and produced under her film production company Incredibly Okay Films. The film premiered in February of 2024 and is due to hit streaming at the conclusion of it's festival and theatrical run. Most recently, her feature length script, Beyond the Fence, won at the Virginia Screenwriting competition and continues to make its way through the festival circuit. The novel is available for purchase via amazon. Lindsey hopes the script and novel gain enough traction to reach production and therefore give her the opportunity to direct her second feature length project.
