Synopsis
It’s 2008, Afro-Latinx teenager Liliana has just graduated from her New York public high school. Ready to eat the world before starting life at a prestigious liberal arts college, she leaves the chaos of her loving Washington Heights home to backpack alone in Peru. In Peru, Liliana experiences profound moments of adventure, danger, and silence–confronting that her own demons are always right around the corner, no matter where she goes. “Untitled Peru” uses a fictional modern rite of passage to explore the tortured and exalted relationship we have with ourselves at eighteen, and the people and extraordinary experiences that can shape us along the way.
