AFTER THE WEDDING follows newlywed Diego Diaz (Nick Puga) as he heads down to Miami Beach for a few weeks to finish his latest novel, but when he becomes emotionally intimate with a sexy bartender, he and his wife Mariana (Edy Ganem) are left to examine the true state of their young marriage. Funny, romantic, and honest, After the Wedding is an intimate portrait of a young couple navigating their new roles as husband and wife, and contemplates traditional love in a modern age.
CLAUDIA CIFUENTES is a New York–based writer, director, and producer developing a slate of character-driven film and television through her banner Tropica Films. Her directorial debut, After the Wedding, screened at the Bahamas International Film Festival and is currently available on streaming platforms. She began her career working alongside director Michael Mann and producer Lynda Obst and is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
