A political coming-of-age story and a stirring re-imagination of what it means to govern, “Girls State" follows young female leaders — from wildly different backgrounds across Missouri — as they navigate an immersive experiment to build a government from the ground up, form a Supreme Court, and debate the divisive issues of the day.
Amanda McBaine is a director and producer. Together with her partner Jesse Moss, she produced The Bandit, The Overnighters and Speedo. Her other credits as producer include Ghosts of Attica.
