When a bipolar woman kills herself, her sister and her sister's fiance become entangled in an attempt to discover what pushed her to the brink. --- After Inez's mysterious suicide, her sister, Kira, and Kira's fiancé, Doug (both of whom shared their own complicated relationship with Inez) embark on a quest to answer the questions behind their loved one's death.
Julia's award-winning short films have screened on PBS and in dozens of festivals worldwide, including Slamdance, Cinequest, Woodstock, Hamptons, Edmonton, and Chicago International. She has received awards and grants such as IFP Audience Choice 4 Award, Coca Cola Refreshing Filmmakers Grant, New Line Cinema Grant, Milos Forman Fund, ASCAP Scoring Grant, AMPAS Foundation Grant, as well as a residency from the MacDowellColony. JuliawasaneditorontheOscar-nominatedfilm,​MyWeekWithMarilyn​, and is currently editing for Thirteen/PBS. She emigrated from the former Soviet Union and holds an MFA from Columbia University Film School and a BA from Yale University. Julia’s first narrative feature film, Inez & Doug & Kira, is a recipient of the NYFA Made In NY grant.
