In the early 21st century, mankind has colonized the oceans. The United Earth Oceans Organization enlists Captain Nathan Bridger and the submarine seaQuest DSV to keep the peace and explore the last frontier on Earth.

By the mid-21st Century, humankind has colonized the oceans and formed the UEO--the United Earth Oceans--as a military organization to police it. Formerly a high-ranking member of the UEO, Nathan Bridger retired after the death of his wife, and retreated to an isolated island to study dolphins. An attempt is made to hijack the Seaquest DSV, the UEO's most powerful undersea vessel, and Nathan--its original designer--is convinced to return to active service, to assume command of it. His second in command is Cmdr. Jonathan Ford. In second season, the DSV added Dagwood, a prototype GELF (Genetically Engineered Life Form), Tony Piccolo, a man with surgically implanted gills, and Dr. Wendy Smith, a telepath/empath, to its crew of specialists. The series has New Age leanings, often presenting stories that deal with environmental issues or mix myth and mysticism--from ghosts to "gods"--into its science fiction.

Annette is a passionate, visual storyteller with a strong creative voice. Her short, THE FOOT SHOOTING PARTY (Leonardo DiCaprio / Jeffrey Katzenberg, Touchstone) launched her directing career. Her latest film (2023), DAUGHTER OF THE BRIDE (Marcia Gay Harden, Aiden Quinn / MarVista) opened theatrically before an NBC FOX Broadcast exclusive. She’s credited with discovering Angelina Jolie on her feature film debut, FOXFIRE. Spielberg hired her for her first TV episode, SEAQUEST (Amblin, NBC). All of Annette's films have maintained continuous distribution and are currently available on PRIME VIDEO.

A student of legendary acting coach, Joan Darling, Annette has a remarkable track record for casting A-list actors and, with an early career in camera, delivering cinematically beautiful films. In addition to directing four movies, two network TV episodes and a 30-min short, she shadowed directors on The Rookie (Tara Miele) and Homeland (Alex Graves, Lesli Glatter). She's a produced screenwriter and script doctor. Her career began with script supervising over 24 movies for A-list directors (Bruce Beresford, Hector Babenco, Gary Sinese) and producers (Joel Silver, Richard Zanuck, Saul Zaentz). She was selected for the inaugural group of the DGA Women's Steering Committee SQUAD. And recently she mentored a first-time director on a short film that was selected for the 2026 American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase at Cannes.

Member of DGA and WGA since 1994, former member of IATSE, Annette is represented by attorney Jackie Eckhouse at Sloss, Eckhouse, Dasti, Haynes LawCo in New York.
