Social Mixer Celebrating Gender Diversity in Media
During Austin's spring festival season 2025, the Alliance for Women Film Composers , All Entertainment Business, Film Fatales, and Women in Film & TV Austin are co-hosting a dynamic event that celebrates collaboration, inclusion, and progress in the entertainment industry. The gathering will bring together producers, directors, composers, music supervisors, investors, and business leaders to foster meaningful connections and promote gender parity across creative and business sectors. Features speakers include Film Fatales member Geeta Gandbhir, who recently received the US Documentary Directing Award at Sundance for The Perfect Neighbor which is also screening at SXSW. SXSW Women, Trans, and Non Binary Filmmaker Meet-Up
Film Fatales invites you to an in-person gathering at SXSW in support of filmmakers of all marginalized genders and those interested in amplifying underrepresented voices in the industry to make connections and build their network. This will be an opportunity to talk with members of Film Fatales who have directed feature films premiering at SXSW including: Anayansi Prado (Uvalde Mom), Chelsea Christer (Out For Delivery), Geeta Gandbhir (The Perfect Neighbor), Giselle Bailey (Seen and Heard), Grace Lee (Forever We Are Young), Jessica Earnshaw (Baby Doe), Julie Wyman (The Tallest Dwarf), TT the Artist (Denim), and Winnie Cheung (Last Call). A Women's History Month Event
Eager to meet creative collaborators? Excited to connect with like-minded artists? Film Fatales invited you to an in-person mixer in Los Angeles hosted by BECiNE along with members of Alliance of Women Directors, International Collective of Female Cinematographers, and Women in Media. Sponsors will be present at the event with lenses to showcase on camera builds so that we can all check out different visual aesthetics. Drinks and light bites will be provided. We will hear from representatives of participating groups, enjoy small bites, drinks, and explore the amazing lenses showcased by lens vendors: Atlas Lens Co, BandPro, Cooke and Zeiss. This is a celebration so if you want to get a little fancy, go for it! Capacity is limited. Kids are welcome. All guests must RSVP separately in advance. We are so excited to have you all with us.
