Synopsis

What if there were a show like Parts Unknown or Salt, Fat, Acid Heat - but instead of food, the subject of obsession was Biblical women - and instead of Anthony Bourdain or Samin Nosrat, the host was... Alicia Jo Rabins?

GIRLS IN TROUBLE: THE SERIES - created by musician/writer Alicia Jo Rabins & filmmaker Alicia J. Rose - features indie webisodes inspired by Anthony Bourdain-style food and culture shows, bringing the viewer on a journey through the world of women in Torah. In each installment, Rabins leads us on a journey through a Biblical woman’s story and travels to visit artists, scholars and culture-bearers doing fascinating work in the Jewish diaspora. We explore the character’s challenges, her triumphs, and how her story relates to contemporary life. Plus, animation, music, ritual, and a visit to the Torah Hut!
