Synopsis

RUN HONEY RUN is a whimsical revisionist western set in the Dakota Badlands of the 1890s, following Honey Walker, a young outlaw determined to settle a debt years in the making. After a powerful banker named Thorne destroys her family and steals land from struggling homesteaders, Honey dedicates herself to taking back what was lost. Alongside West, the man who loves her, she rides across the frontier robbing corrupt banks, returning fortunes and deeds to the families they've wronged, and becoming an unlikely folk hero in the process. As stories of their exploits spread, Thorne dispatches a ragtag posse of brothers, bounty hunters, and self-proclaimed men of God to bring them to justice. Unfortunately, the group is almost as dangerous to one another as they are to their quarry, leaving a trail of feuds, mishaps, and bad decisions across the Badlands.

But Honey has no intention of disappearing. While West dreams of reaching California and leaving their outlaw lives behind, Honey remains fixated on a final confrontation with the man who started it all. What neither realizes is that they are no longer simply running from Thorne. Honey is leading Thorne to her just as surely as he is leading her to him.

Blending romance, dry humor, and sweeping western landscapes, RUN HONEY RUN is a modern American folk tale about love, vengeance, and the stories we tell about outlaws. Part frontier myth, part tragic romance, the film follows two young dreamers racing toward a future that may already be slipping beyond the horizon.
