Recently canceled for an act of violence, queer outsider artist Ez heads home to Hawai’i to look after her estranged grandmother Viv, who is convinced her wealthy neighbors are conspiring to take her land. But when Ez develops a romantic fixation on Helen, the very neighbor her grandmother is suspicious of, the new relationship kicks off a dark chain of events that will forever impact both households.




Bio

A queer writer, filmmaker and circus producer, Zoë creates stories and spaces in and about her home on Hawai’i island. Her work has been supported by Tribeca Studios and Netflix, and has played on PBS, Hawaiian Airlines, and theatrically across Hawai’i. Her solo feature length directorial debut CHAPERONE premiered at Slamdance in 2024 and took home the Grand Jury Award for Breakouts. Zoë’s debut novel, SIGNIFICANT OTHERS, was published in February 2024 by MIRA/HarperCollins. She is represented by CAA.
