The Dove Code

Directed by Juliana Curi

It is estimated that 90% of digital content is produced by artificial intelligence. The problem is significant: just a search for images of women on AI platforms reveals that beauty standards are more unattainable than ever. It's no wonder that 1 in 3 girls says they would change their appearance because of the artificial beauty they see online.

Synopsis

THE DOVE CODE is directed by Juliana Curi, produced by Saigon and The Mill, a boutique post-production studio based in Los Angeles, and created by indie Brazilian agency Soko. The launch of this campaign marks a historic milestone in the discussion about diversity and inclusion in advertising. It took us four months to develop the concept, delve into symbologies, and address ethical and legal AI considerations. We are also proud to announce that this global campaign was led by a team of woman and Latinx filmmakers. Also, adopting an intersectional approach, we assembled a team inclusive of talented LGBTQIAP+ and BIPOC women, fostering a rich construction of subjectivity.
